Description

In vivo 120–220 × 90–120 µm. Body elongate, anteriorly ±obliquely truncate, posteriorly asymmetrically tapering, dorsoventrally flattened; buccal field large, with many indistinct dorsal ridges. Cirri: 10 frontoventral, 5 transverse, 2 left-marginal, 8–16 caudal. Dorsal kineties 13–38. Adoral membranelles 61–144. Macronucleus C-shaped to somewhat 3-shaped; micronucleus 1. Contractile vacuole 1. Dorsal silverline system of double-patella type. Movement: slowly crawling, usually in tight circles.
