Description

In vivo c. 140–200 × 70–100 µm. Body ellipsoidal, indented posteriorly on right, with 2 ventral ridges, dorsoventrally flattened. Cirri: 5–7 frontoventral, 2 pretransverse, 5 or 6 thick transverse, 2 left-marginal, 3 or 4 caudal and thick. Dorsal kineties 5–9. Adoral zone composed of c. 59–78 membranelles, extending also along anterior third to half of right body margin. Macronuclear nodules 2 (–7); micronuclei 2–6. Movement: crawling rather quickly.
